  Namitha is quite content about her role in Pachchakkuthiraa. Asked about playing a glamorous role in the movie, she says, 'There is a lot of difference between vulgarity and glamour. It is just a glamorous role'. She says, 'I just performed what director Parthiban wanted from me on the screen. I believe in the second half I had more scope to perform'. Namitha says, 'I don't care about awards. As long as the character has enough scope for me to perform, I would continue to act'. On rumors that she would be acting in a Telugu movie, she says, ' I am in no hurry. I love acting in Tamil films. I want to establish a place for myself here and then branch out to other languages'.

  Namitha Kapoor is a popular South Indian actress. She started out by participating in the Femina Miss India Contest. She was born on May 10, 1981 in Surat, India. She has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi films. Although she started out in Telugu movies, she became famous after the Tamil film Engal Anna opposite Vijayakanth. She starred in the song "Arjuna Arjuna" along with Sarath Kumar, which ended up as a big hit. Being tremendously well endowed and very voluptuous, she's constantly cast in almost all her films, entirely for skin show. Her screen name for the first two Telugu movies was Bhairavi.[2] She was crowned Miss Surat in 1998 and came fourth in the Miss India contest during the year 2001 along with Trisha Krishnan and Celina Jaitley, who was crowned Miss India Universe. She has also appeared in an English film named Maya directed by Eric Manning.

  Born and raised in Kurichi, Real name Namita M Vankawala, studied at Ratnam Arts College, Surat. Punjabi-speaking Namitha is another actress in the long list of heroines who made it in Telugu and Tamil movies. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a housewife. She became popular after acting in the Tamil film Engal Anna with Vijayakanth. After being crowned Miss Surat in 1998, she participated in the Miss India contest in 2001. she also won people's favourite award to win miss india world title.It brought Namitha roles in the Telugu film industry. After entering Tollywood, she immediately grabbed the attention of Telugu film lovers with Sontham and acted in Gemini as Bhairavi though the films didn’t fare well in the box office. Namitha. appeared in an English film named Maya directed by Eric Manning. She has also Tamil and Malayalam films to her credit. She is a Taurean, stands six feet one inches tall(?!) and weighs about 80 kilos (175 pounds). She may well become Indian movie industry's answer to Lucy Lawless (She is known to be quite fearless in real life too).[3]

  Glamour Queen Namitha Her innumerable fans must be wondering what happened to nice girl Namitha. Well, buck up Namitha fans! The good news is that Namy baby will be back in action after a short break. The grapevine says that the very voluptuous glamour queen of Tamil cinema has taken a well-deserved break after a hectic shooting schedule in connection with two of her Tamil films. First Namitha, who is looking slimmer and stunner these days, was busy shooting with Vijay for ‘Azhagiya Tamizh Magan’ in Hyderabad. Then she flew to the cooler climes of Malaysia for a shooting stint in the company of Ajit for ‘Billa’.
